Created in the 1960s, the pick of furniture production by Bernardo Figueiredo designer and architect, this elegant CA-03 chair with armrests is made of solid wood and natural straw seat. Also available with upholstered seat. With elegant shapes and smooth curves, the piece reflects the thought and inventiveness of the architect, who worked with the masters Sergio Rodrigues (1927-2014) and Joaquim Tenreiro (1906-1992) and became known for valuing typical Brazilian materials.
Bernardo gave his work a strong Brazilian touch and his trajectory as a designer was marked by the valorisation of Brazilian materials, such as jacaranda and straw. A clear example of this appreciation, in straight and sober lines, is the Vick dining chair. Among his reissued pieces that have been critically and publicly successful are the Conversadeira, the dining chair Bahia and the Toti bench / stool, a mixture of classic and contemporary.
