The universe of Design has some golden figures and Bernardo Figueiredo is one of them. Designed by the architect and designer Bernardo for the headquarters of the Lord Magazine, founded in 1959 in Rio de Janeiro, the Senhor Armchair began to be produced for residential use in 1965. With solid wood structure, it has a seat and backrest in crankshafts, in the form of frames, void is filled with buckled leather straps. The arms follow the same logic and are contained by wooden buttons. Four polished brass metal buttons attached to the wooden sleepers on the sides, while the two cushions ensure comfort. Ingenious, this stunning piece reveals the inventiveness of Bernardo Fiqueiredo, who was considered one of the great names of mid century modern Brazilian furniture.
